A great home cocktail bar includes Amari – great to sip on or to use in cooking.
Amaro translates to “bitter” in Italian. Amari are liqueurs made from herbs and most bitter liqueurs are made in Italy. Each has its own characteristics and pairs nicely with particular foods. You’re probably familiar with Campari and Aperol.
Try these light and citrusy recipes.
3 parts prosecco
2 parts Aperol
1 part soda
Pour into a glass and garnish with a slice of orange.
Stir together equal parts of Campari, gin and sweet vermouth. Pour into a glass with ice and garnish with a slice of orange.
